Last night we had a fascinating talk from Geoff Williams. Geoff is interested in how we see and interpret images. He reminded us of the importance of changing your viewpoint, remembering to look up, down and behind you as this may give a more interesting image. We were able to see how he developed his work for his ARPS distinction. Starting from a rainy day in the Scottish highlands he produced a body of work that turned close up images of lichen in to satellite images of a fantasy planet. Geoff was happy to share details of the techniques he used to produce the intriguing images. An inspiring evening which generated thoughtful discussion.
